How much does a local move in DC cost?
Two movers and a truck start at $169 an hour, and three movers with a truck start at $229 an hour. A flat-rate studio move starts around $449. We put your price in writing before the day.
What does a flat-rate written quote mean?
It means we quote one locked price for your move based on your home, your access and your inventory. The written number is what you pay, with no hourly clock ticking and no end-of-day surprises.
How much is the deposit to book?
It takes $99 to reserve your date, and that amount goes toward your total. Until you are ready to lock a day, there is no charge for a quote.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We are a licensed and insured local moving company running our own W-2 crews and trucks. Proof of coverage is available if your building or HOA requests it.
Do you handle packing?
We do. Our crew can pack your whole home or just the fragile items, using our own boxes, paper and blankets. Packing is added to your written quote so you see the cost up front.
Can you store my things short-term?
Yes, we offer short-term storage for the gap when your move-out and move-in dates do not line up. Your belongings stay wrapped and tracked until delivery day.
Do you move out of state?
We run regular long-distance routes from DC to cities like Baltimore, New York, Philadelphia, Richmond, Charlotte, Boston and Atlanta. Every long-distance job is a binding written rate, so the price is fixed before we load.
How do you handle DC permit parking and building COIs?
Row houses with no driveway and permit-only blocks are routine for us, and we plan the loading spot ahead of time. For high-rise and walk-up buildings, we prepare the certificate of insurance your management requires before move day.
How far ahead should I book?
Weekends and month-ends fill first, so a week or two of notice is ideal. That said, we do our best to fit last-minute moves, so it is always worth a call.
What if something gets damaged?
We wrap and pad your items to prevent damage, but if something does go wrong, we are insured and we make it right. Just contact the office and we will walk you through a claim.
