13+ Years Moving the DC Metro

Since 2013 we’ve moved DC row houses, walk-ups, and high-rises with one promise: the flat price we write down is the price you pay. No hourly meter, no fuel tricks, no “heavy item” surprises on moving day.

The crew that shows up is ours — full-time, background-checked, W-2 movers who load your home and unload it. We never hand your move to a subcontractor or a stranger who bid the job the night before.

  • Our own W-2 crews, never day labor
  • One binding flat rate in writing
  • Permits & building COIs handled for you

Built for DC

We Know How Washington Moves Actually Work

Row houses, high-rises, historic blocks and permit-only parking — the details that trip up out-of-town movers are routine for our crews.

Building COIs & elevators

We file certificates of insurance and reserve the freight elevator with building management before move day.

Permit & loading-zone parking

We pull the temporary no-parking permits so the truck sits legally at your curb, not a block away.

Row-house stairs & walk-ups

Narrow original staircases and third-floor walk-ups in Capitol Hill and Adams Morgan are an everyday job for our crews.

Historic & landmark homes

Floor protection, doorway padding, and careful handling for older DC homes with original details worth keeping.

High-rise & condo rules

Elevator windows, dock reservations, and HOA move-in requirements handled ahead of time so nothing stalls.

Short-term storage

Closing dates that don’t line up? We hold your goods in our secured DC facility and redeliver when you’re ready.

Specialty Moves

Big, Heavy or Irreplaceable? We’ve Got It.

The pieces other movers won’t touch — crated, padded, and moved by a crew that’s done it hundreds of times.

Pianos & organs

Uprights, consoles, and baby grands — boarded, padded, and stair-navigated safely.

Gun & heavy safes

500–1,500 lb safes down stairs and through doorways with the right dollies and straps.

Fine art & antiques

Custom crating and soft-wrap for paintings, mirrors, and heirloom furniture.

Gym & fitness gear

Treadmills, racks, and Peloton setups broken down, moved, and reassembled.

Aquariums & tanks

Drained, cushioned, and transported level so the glass and seams stay sound.

Pool & game tables

Slate disassembled and re-leveled at the new place, felt kept intact.

What Our Clients Say

  • Experienced, uniformed crew
  • Fair, flat-rate pricing
  • On-time & careful, every move
  • Licensed & insured
We moved out of a narrow row house near Eastern Market and the crew handled that tight staircase like pros. Devon and Ray had the whole first floor wrapped and out before the parking permit window even closed.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers to the questions Washington movers ask us most.

How do you price a move?
We quote a single flat rate in writing after a quick walkthrough or video estimate, built from your real inventory. The number on the sheet is the number you pay — no hourly meter and no hidden fees.
Do you require a deposit?
Most local moves book with a small refundable deposit to hold your date, and the balance is due on completion. We confirm the exact terms in writing before you commit — nothing is a surprise.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We carry DC mover registration plus USDOT/MC authority for interstate moves, and we are fully bonded and insured with cargo coverage on every shipment.
Do you offer packing and supplies?
We do — full-pack where we crate the whole home, or partial packing for just the fragile rooms. Our crew brings all the boxes, paper, blankets, and crating with them.
Can you store my things between moves?
Yes. We offer short-term, climate-controlled storage billed by the day or the week when your move-out and move-in dates don’t line up.
Do you handle long-distance moves?
Absolutely. We run long-distance jobs from Washington to any state with one truck and the same crew on both ends, priced as a binding flat rate.
Can you handle DC parking permits and building COIs?
That’s our specialty. We reserve permit parking, coordinate freight-elevator windows, and send certificates of insurance to your building — usually the same day you ask.
How far in advance should I book?
Weekends fill first, so aim for two to three weeks out. Weekday and mid-month slots often open on a few days’ notice, and we fit in last-minute jobs when a crew is free.
